It doesnt look like that RAM is supported by that motherboard. I am not sure if that means that it will adjust the ram down to 1333 or if it just wont work at all. What video card did you plan to use in this rig. You posted it had been several years since you built a computer from new parts. Do you have a PCI Express Video Card? If you don't you're going to have to get one because it doesnt appear that motherboard has an AGP slot.

That is the exact case I have bro and I don't think you will be disappointed in any way. That New Egg link has like 1290 reviews and it is still at 5 eggs rank so that should tell you something.

I have the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P LGA1366 and its rated for DDR3 2100+/1333 according to specs sheet. CPU is i7 920 and I installed 6G (3 X 2G) OCZ DDR3 1600 PC3 12800 on the system with no problems. Just need to go in the BIOS and set the the correct timming and voltage according to the RAM specs. Without overclocking: BCLK Frequency (MHz) = 133 (133 X 20(CPU clock Ratio)) =2660MHz or 2.66Ghz (stock CPU speed) System memory Multiplier (SPD) =12 Therefore, 133 X 12 = 1596 Mhz (close to 1600) I have overclocked this system effortlessly to 3.2 GHz with: BCLK Frequency (MHz) = 160 (160 X 20 = 3200 MHz or 3.2 GHz overclocked CPU speed) System Memory Multiplier (SPD) = 10 Therefore, 160 X 10 = 1600 Mhz (still maintained at 1600) I had this setting for almost a year but recently after playing Aion for like 14 hrs straight, I got frozen in game and system indicated that my BIOS had auto recover (blue screen). I Q-flashed latest BIOS version (at least 4 version newer) since then and haven't notice any problems yet. I also suspect the crash may be due to Intel Turbo Boost bumping the CPU over 3.2 GHz. So, you shouldn't need to go down to DDR3 1333 and 1600 should work fine. Hope this helps.
